It snowed.

We got our first snow that stuck on the ground yesterday. I love when the snow sticks on the trees and shrubs changing the yard to a white fairy land. I need to get some more bird feed. The birds come looking for their usual handouts and are disappointed.

We put both riding lawn mowers and both 4 wheelers into the shed. We weren't sure they would fit with all the rest of the stuff in there. I brought the snow blower back to the garage and it was a good thing as Saturday we had our first sticking snow. We are both glad that we got one last year. I can even use it if necessary.

Dad is down in bed. He just doesn't have the resistance he had before the heart attack. I really wish he would lose some weight. I wonder if I got real serious about losing some if he would say to himself that he had better because he won't be outdone by Avon. It would be worth it. I think he weighs more than before. I know he had gained some weight and he is exercising. I guess I will try and see if I can motivate his competitive spirit.

Oh earth so white in covered snow.
Your silent sleeping essence I know,
will soon awake with riotous flair
with flowers blossoming every where.

For now, just rest in peaceful sleep
and slumber through the winter deep.
There building your strength for spring to come,
In remembrance of the holy one.
