In the quiet of the Night

I love to be awake in the wee hours of the night. I love the silence. Everything seem to be at peace.

I love to see my children play together- now my grand kids. I am thankful for so many things. I have a good husband, six wonderful hard working and kind sons, six creative and talented daughters and twenty almost 21 fantastic, good looking, helpful and smart grandchildren.

I have a job, a home, friends, a testimony, good parents, an awesome sister and sister friend.

Sometimes I get regretful about things I would change then look at what I have and have to chastise myself (do you think that could be pms)?

We had a great lesson in church today. It was about the three degrees of glory. The second degree had good people in it. Is that where I am now? If the world as we know it were to end tonight where would we be. I know that is not where I want to be. So I guess I need to put on my boots and get a going. I know I have the testimony I need, but what about the rest? What about the work I need to be doing. I have really felt lost since my sons have left my home. I sometime feel as if no one really needs me any more.

How are you doing?

I am glad that you don't have to be perfect but am I on the right path and moving forward? I had a bishop who would ask. Is your testimony stronger than it was last year? I ask myself that question sometimes. What am I doing to make it stronger? How can I help others? Am I thinking too much of my self? What is the scripture save yourself and loose the ? I used to know that. I guess that tells me I have to get back to reading the scriptures regularly.

I am grateful however for all I have! I sometimes wonder why I am so blessed. I hope I don't blow it. You know the saying where much is given much is expected. I need to be less of an introvert (my kids probably don't think that I am, I'm so bossy).
